Virágvasárnapi konferenciák
Az első virágvasárnapi konferenciára azért került sor, mert 1927. január végére Budapest-Kőbányára meghirdetett konferencia elmaradt a spanyoljárvány miatt. Ezért 1927. április 10-12-ig tartották meg az eredeti tervtől alig eltérő programmal. A megnyitón a Kálvin-téri templomban Sebestyén Jenő prédikált. Magát a konferenciát a Budapesti Református Teológiai Akadémia dísztermében tartották. Félezren vettek részt ezen az első konferencián, csökkent létszámban, az elszállásolás nehézségei miatt. Világos bizonyságát adta ez a diákmegmozdulás, hogy ifjúságunk református nevelése jó úton halad. Az ígéretek ifjú serege évről-évre egybegyűlt virágvasárnapi konferenciára. 1930-ban Ravasz László így szól a konferenciázókhoz: "Tíz évvel ezelőtt a SDG szövetség első munkásai a dolgozószobámban jöttek össze. Most a szobámban már nem férnének, de azért a szívemben elférnek most is mindnyájan." A nagy létszámú konferenciákat időben és jól szervezték meg. Példaként 1932-ben a következőkre kellett figyelni: bibliatanulmányozás, a megszállott területekről érkezőkkel foglalkozás, iratterjesztés, kirándulások vezetése, a Nemzeti Múzeum előtti fényképezéshez csoportosulási engedély megszerzése. A Nemzeti Múzeum lépcsőjén minden esztendőben fényképen örökítették meg a résztvevőket. A konferenciák a mozgalom elmélyülését szolgálták.
